If audio is an essential part of your shared content, you can send the computer’s audio to the remote attendees when sharing, providing a more professional and immersive sharing experience.
Note: Make sure the speaker output matches the device selected in the videoconferencing software. For example, both audios must be playing from your headset.
- Start or join a Zoom meeting.
- Click Share on the meeting toolbar.
- Select the program or desktop you wish to share.
- Select Share sound in the bottom-left corner of the share selection window.
- Click Share in the bottom-right corner to begin sharing with your device’s audio included.
You can start sharing device audio after you’ve already shared your screen: locate the Share toolbar, click More, then select Share Sound.
Tips & tricks
- If you are sharing a video file, save it to your computer rather than streaming it from a website.
- You cannot share computer sound if you are sharing multiple screens.
- Videoconferences require high bandwidth, which limits the quality of video transmission to your attendees. The video may look choppy, and unfortunately, it is unavoidable.
- For best quality, attendees and organizers should join the meeting from a high-speed, wired connection and close all non-essential applications such as email, instant messaging, and internet browsers.
- You must be connected to audio via Computer audio to share video sound.
