If you receive the "no records found matching your search criteria" message:
- Your citation may not yet be added to Iowa Courts Online—it can take up to 14 days.
- Your parking ticket could be from a city, not a county. Only tickets filed with the county clerk of court are available on Iowa Courts Online.
- Your name could be spelled incorrectly on the court record. Try typing only the first few letters of your first and last names.
- If a law enforcement officer scanned your out-of-state driver's license/ID, your first and last name could have been switched accidentally. Try typing your first name in the last name field and vice versa.
- You could be entering the case number wrong.
- It should have 17 characters.
- Use the number 0 and the letter O correctly; they are easily confused.
- It could be a confidential case. Juvenile and other confidential cases are not available online.
- You might have entered extra spaces.
- The case is old and has not been added to the case management system.
